U-uh, Excuse me, kupo? What's your name, kupo?
Auron walks by the moogle and looks like he's ignoring the small creature. Then he stops and looks over his shoulder. "... Auron. Why? Need a Guardian?", he says before turning fully to the moogle.
Is that what everyone calls you, kupo?
"Mmm... I get a lot of 'Sir Auron', but yeah, pretty much."
That's a great name for a girl, kupo! You... are a girl, aren't you, kupo?
Auron chuckles a bit. "I guess you haven't been around humans that long. I'm a man."
O-of course! I was just... messing around, kupo! Ahem. Anyway, kupo. Uh. How old are you, kupo?
"You are very curious..." Auron said before lower his blade and embedding it, tip first into the ground before resting his arm on it. "Around my forties, I guess. It's been awhile since I kept track of that."
Really? Everyone lately seems to be strange, kupo... so... no offense...but what species are you, kupo?
"I suppose there's no reason to hide it. I was once human, but now I am considered an unsent, someone who died but was not sent into the Farplane. But don't worry. I don't bite."
I knew that... It's just this light in here, kupo... my eyes can't focus... what do you look like, kupo?
"Will this suffice?"
I-interesting...Which world is your home, kupo?
"I used to hail from a world called Spira. However, due to my... current condition, I've been residing on the Olympus Colosseum, particularly the Underworld."
I see... That's an interesting looking weapon, kupo. What do you call it, kupo?
"It's a katana, at least that's how katanas are on my world. It's served me well for my life, both living and dead. It can pierce even the thickest of armor."
Cool! Do you know any attacks, kupo?
"Heh... are you sure you don't need a Guardian?"
Power Break - Auron charges debilitating energy into his sword and slices at an opponent, lowering the opponent's Attack (Cooldown: 2 posts)
Magic Break - Auron charges debilitating energy into his sword and slices at an opponent, lowering the opponent's Magic (Cooldown: 2 posts)
Armor Break - Auron charges debilitating energy into his sword and slices at an opponent, lowering the opponent's Defense (Cooldown: 2 posts)
Mental Break - Auron charges debilitating energy into his sword and slices at an opponent, lowering the opponent's Magic Defense (Cooldown: 2 posts)
Dragon Fang - Auron charges energy into his sword and jumps up into the air before landing and stabbing the ground, sending the energy into the earth, where it explodes under Auron's enemies. (Cooldown: 3 posts.)
Shooting Star - Auron, using his superior strength and skill, runs and slides through a group of enemies, swinging his sword around him in a wide circle, cutting through the group of enemies. (Cooldown: 3 posts)
Banishing Blade - Auron takes a drink from the jug at his waist and spits the contents onto his blade. The blade swirls with sigils as Auron swings the blade, causing four dark energy orbs to appear and home in on an opponent. This attack causes heavy damage AND Full Break, which lowers Attack, Defense, Magic and Magic Defense. (Cooldown: 4 posts)
Tornado - Auron goes into a stance and gathers wind energy into his blade. He then unleashes the wind energy at his opponents, which gathers more and more momentum until it becomes a full-fledged Tornado. Auron then takes his jug and throws it into the Tornado which ignites it into a whirlwind of fire and wind, causing massive damage. (Cooldown: 5 posts)
That's not bad, kupo..! Can you tell me anything about your past, kupo?
"Hmm... my past is complicated. Perhaps it would be best if I showed you." Auron then knelt down and raised his hand to his forehead before throwing it to his side. "My... memories!" Pyreflies out and around Auron, suddenly flying around the moogle and casting a screen for the Moogle just what Auron's past entailed.
As a vision appeared before the moogle, it saw what looked like a younger version of Auron talking with a man in robes. I used to be a warrior monk of Yevon," Auron's voice began, reverberating in the moogle's mind. "I was well-liked among the higher-ranked members of Yevon and they trained me for bigger things in my future. However, the ones who ran Yevon are rather... fickle. I did not wish to marry a daughter of a popular priest and I fell out of favor. Such is life. Luckily, Braska, a summoner beginning his pilgrimage found me and asked if I wanted to join him. I had nothing else and... he seemed far more honest than my so-called 'bosses'. I accepted his offer." The vision showed the younger Auron nod at the robed man, presumably Braska, before they walked off. Soon the scene changed and the two men are walking into what looks like prison. Two guards are guarding a shirtless, muscular man who looked rather wild and aggressive.
"Before we left for our pilgrimage, however, Braska insisted that we visit who I thought was some drunkard they had picked up somewhere. Braska, however, saw, something else in him. At the time, I thought Braska was insane, but he said that it would be rather ironic if a summoner who married to a heathen, a fallen warrior monk and a drunkard from Zanarkand managed to beat Sin. And so Jecht joined us on the promise that we'd find a way for Jecht to go back home. And thus, we embarked on our pilgramage. While Braska was quite patient and Jecht far more laid-back than I had cared for, I thought it was up to me to keep the three of us focused on the journey ahead. I believe I once said that the pilgramage was no "pleasure cruise". Hmph. I was more right than I had realized when I said that. Even though I was constantly reprimanding Jecht for his reckless behavior, he eventually grew on me. Despite his abrasive personality, he was quite loyal to us and our cause."
Suddenly, the vision changes again and the trio are standing in a large room on some steps. "What we didn't know was that, to defeat Sin, we had to sacrifice one of our own to become the Final Aeon. I realized what that truly meant. Sin would use the Final Aeon to reincarnate and terrorize Spira again. I tried to convince Braska of this, but he seemed optimistic that Sin would be truly defeated this time. Jecht volunteered to be the Final Aeon, feeling he'd never be able to go back home. He hugged me, saying that 'I was a stiff but that's what he liked about me!' Hmph... He also asked that I find some way to go back to his home and take care of his son, which I said I would. Both of them went inside the chambers and began the ritual...
But Sin still revived."
The vision changes again to the inner chamber, where the younger Auron is arguing with a bikini-clad woman. "I came back to Yunalesca, the one who initiated the ritual. She told me the truth behind Yevon, that it only existed to perpetuate a cycle of despair for Spira's sins. I was too outraged at Braska's and Jecht's futile sacrifices and tried to attack. She effortlessly struck me down." The younger Auron is shown getting struck down, suffering a mortal wound that scars his face and blinds him in his right eye. The vision then changes to Auron staggering his way into an inn on the Calm Lands, then going to Bevelle. Unfortunately, his travels took him through Mt. Gagazet, where he fell from a great height and ended up on the outskirts of Bevelle. Here, I was found by Kimahri Ronso, with whom I make a request to take care of Braska's daughter, Yuna as my dying wish.
Then I died. However, due to my ties to Spira, I managed to come back as an Unsent. Thus, I was able to ride Sin to Jecht's Zanarkand and took care of his son for ten years." The vision shows Auron meeting a boy about 10 years old in an incredibly large city. Eventually, the vision changes so that the boy is now a young man and he and Auron are fighting monsters that seem to be spawning from larger, similar looking monsters. "Ten years later, Jecht came to his home. He spoke to me, wanting Tidus to come to Spira to destroy. I agreed and led his son to Sin, transporting him to Spira. We split up during the transfer between worlds, but we met up again in Luca where Tidus had already found Braska's daughter and her guardians. I volunteered myself and Tidus for guardianship and we were both accepted. We journeyed together, the secret of my demise safe despite a few incidents. The vision changes to Auron resisting Yuna's Sending and again to Zanarkand, where Auron reveals what he is to Tidus in a manner similar to he was showing his memories to the moogle.
"We returned to Zanarkand. However, Yuna was now knowledgeable of Yevon's corruption and the truth behind the Final Aeon. I helped to spur the party on in fighting Yunalesca and we eventually defeated her. Later, I revealed what I was to Tidus and what Jecht really felt about his son. Then, we fought our way inside Sin and fought Jecht in his Final Aeon form. Once he was defeated and Sin finally destroyed, I saw no need to remain in Spira. When Yuna preformed the Sending, I allowed myself to be Sent, content with what I had accomplished. But, of course, the good stories don't end there." The vision then changes to Auron leading Sora, Donald and Goofy away from Hades and fighting through Heartless.
"I was brought back to life by a God of the Dead named Hades. He tried to command me like one of his soldiers, but that was not to be. Mainly because I still had free will and he was an idiot. I managed to help Sora escape from his realm. Hades would get his revenge by forcing me to do his bidding by stealing my willpower with a statue of his making. Luckily, Sora returned the favor and shattered the statue bringing me back to my senses. I left that world to journey on my own."
"Which, of course, leads us to here." The pyreflies go back into Auron as the vision fades and the ex-Guardian stands, waiting for the Moogle's next question.
Hmm... well, could you tell me what kind of person you are, kupo?
"A fair question. I prefer to be silent and don't really care to engage in idle banter. However, I do speak when the situations calls for it. Thus, I usually hold an advisory role for younger people, speaking only to steer others in the right direction. As for my morality, I prefer to do what is considered right, even when that is the unpopular path."
"While I do consider myself a serious person, I am not above a bit of humor, though some may consider it dry. Thanks to my status as ex-Guardian, I am protective of others and prefer to keep them out of harm's way. I wish to consider myself loyal to those I guard.
...Oh, kupo... Then... what side do you fight for, kupo?[/color][/b]
"I fight for the Light."
I don't mean to seem like I'm prying, but what dreams and aspirations do you have, kupo?
Auron smirks. "An odd question for a dead man. I guess if there was an aspiration I have, it would be to find out why I am not at rest. Perhaps there are those who need me. As for what makes me happy, I just want to leave this world a peaceful one."
Ah, that makes sense, kupo... sorta... well, what do you like, kupo?
"I value friends, for one thing. A strong friendship is immensely powerful against corruption. Peace isn't too bad, either, but that could just be me."
Me too! Then, what do you dislike, kupo?
"I dislike corruption in all its forms. That is what eroded Spira like a cancer. It is only just now recovering from what had occurred. Anything that can wreck that much despair and havoc must be dealt with.
I'll remember that... what's your weakness, kupo?
"If I had to guess, my main weakness is my insistence on sticking to my principles instead of what the rules have established is right. It has made me fairly unpopular and made me into an outcast. My stubbornness also can get me into bigger trouble than I intended."
N-not that I'd ever attempt to use that against you or anything, kupo...! Er... next question! W-what is your strength, kupo?
"My strength is my experience and my will to keep going. My experience gives me the knowledge to help others make the right decisions. My will to keep going helps me to maintain my resolve despite the odds. I also keep my katana sharp. That also helps.
I never would have guessed, kupo! So, tell me, kupo.. What's the secret password, kupo?
"It's Keyblade".
Ah, well I am afraid I must go, kupo. One last question before I do, kupo. How did you find your way here, kupo?
"I was invited by a small mage."
