Welcome to Kingdom Hearts : Sonora De Nox! Thank you for coming in and having a look around. If you have any questions you can ask any administrator or staff; you'll be able to find them by the color of their name.
Please read and acknowledge the rule of the board. When you're finished you can begin your application.
Community Guidelines:
1.) Please be respectful. We are all one big family while we are here. This means no personal put downs, no out of character fighting and no out of character arguing.
A.) If an Admin makes a ruling, it is law. The site's best interests are in our hearts, and in the end, your best interests too. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact us through PM.
B.) There is a No Tolerance Act in effect for any behavior done onsite, or in relation to the site, insinuating lewd, crude or unwarranted behavior. Simply put, this is not a dating site and not everyone is going to like your pick up line. You'd do best not to use it unless you're deathly certain it's appreciated. If it is reported with evidence, it will be immediately punished via a ban, starting at one week and growing depending on the violation. We have this rule strictly to protect our members from those who would join the site for purposes beyond what the site was intended for. Thank you for your understanding of our position.
2.) Personal Conflicts: Any out of character conflicts between members that take place on-site should be reported to the staff. If true hostilities cannot be calmed, the members in question will be temporarily blocked from the forum as a warning. It's not hard to avoid each other. If it truly cannot be avoided, measures will be taken. The reason for this rule is simple. We've all seen sites that have fallen into turmoil due to conflict amongst it's players. We want to avoid that at all costs. Conflict in character is fun. Out of Character Conflict in the c-box or personal plot threads is not acceptable.
3.) Personal Information: We at Sonora De Nox will never require you to give your personal information. It is advised that you keep your information private and do not share your location or full name on the boards.
4.) Complaints: If any of the guidelines are not followed or you think that someone is treating you unfairly or improperly, regardless of who or when, be sure to get screen capped proof and send it to an administrator. This includes harassment, lude behavior and bullying.
5.) Suggestions: Any requests, questions or suggestions that you feel comfortable asking on the forums can be asked on the suggestions board. We very much value your interest in any subject and will respond to these threads as soon as humanly possible. Here at Sonora De Nox, your opinion is very important.
Forum Rules:
1.) Stay active. If for some reason you cannot continue with the forum for any length of time, you must alert an administrator and/or post in the vacations thread or risk having your account deleted. You must also make every monthly activity check (Unless you have posted in the vacations thread) or risk losing your characters. Vacations with no end date are good for one AC; at the second, if no further notice has been given, they will be deleted.
- Activity checks take place on the 7th and end on the 14th of each month. After the deadline, I will be deleting all who have failed to post. Even if you do not have a profile YOU SHOULD STILL POST IN THE CHECK! You might find you come back and your account has been accidentally deleted as inactive.
NOTICE: In respect to people picking up dropped characters; In-Game History and Memory of a dropped character is wiped as soon as they are dropped. Meaning any attacks/techniques/relationships they acquired during their time controlled by a particular person will be "forgotten" and they will be given a clean slate. This makes it easier for the player to pick up a canon character and keeps staff from having to archive months worth of posts for them to read up on, which no one wants to do anyway. There may be exceptions for plot-centric characters, but the staff are pretty flexible in that respect. If you wish to keep the memories and actions of a character once owned, please inform an admin.
2.)Imagery: Images posted on the site must not be offensive. The farthest we allow is simple romance: kissing, hugging, etc. Unless it is absolutely necessary, we don't want to see a lot of blood and there is no reason for gore. If problems arise with picking a proper picture, the staff will step in to resolve the issue. If you cannot find a suitable image, a picture will be selected by staff for you.
If you feel the need to further rebel and continue choosing images that offend, then it will be seen as trolling and a ban will be initiated.
3.) Content of Threads: Sonora De Nox is an English literate role play forum. Metaposting, godmoding, scripting, chat or text speak, and any other manner of inappropriate grammar depiction will not be tolerated. It's very frustrating to other members and hard to understand or respond to. (The password for your profile is 'Moogle')
Please keep threads PG-13! You can read what this rating entails here.
4.) In Character Post Requirements: This is a very literate site. The minimal role-play post length for this site is two paragraphs. That is counted as at least five sentences per paragraph. Sentences in most cases consist of a subject and an action, with proper capitalization and punctuation. Spelling isn't required, but it helps make it easier to understand. Just keep in mind what you would prefer to read. Neat and legible with all the basics. The smaller your post, the harder it is for others to role-play with you. Please keep this in mind.
5.) Format of Posts: When role-playing, please write in third person point of view. This means no me's and no I's unless you're character is speaking. Example:
Mickey walked out into the sunshine, blinking his eyes at the light before saying, “Gawsh... Sure is hot today... I hope it rains soon.”
In-Character and Application Guidelines:
1.) Character Time Release: When you begin in the forums and sign in for the first time, you have 2 character slots available to you. You can check the Character Links to see what characters are currently available and pick from them or you can attempt to make your own. Each character must have it's own account so that it will have it's own munny and avatar-signature combination, making it easy to identify. After you have been active on the site for one month, with an accepted character and have signed in on time to the Activity Checks, another character slot will open up to you. The next slot will open up two months later, if you sign into the ACs on time and are active. The current maximum is 4 characters per user.
***Canon Considerations*** - Only Disney and Square Enix will be considered for Canon Consideration. Pixar, Marvel or other companies bought by Disney will not be considered, nor will Studio Ghibli.
2.) Shipping and Relationship Guidelines: The official rule is if a relationship can not be proven with evidence in Canon material; it is not acceptable on the boards. OCxCanon is not acceptable. There will be no "unmentioned" family relations to canons accepted as Original Characters. This doesn't mean you can't show off your fanart for RikuxOlette (or whoever) in the Gallery, it just means they can't be together in character.
3.) Personality: If you are taking up a canon character, please try to stay in character in your posts. If you have trouble keeping to a character's personality, it might not be the best choice for you.
4.) Attacks and Battles: When you make your profile you will have a few limitations. They are as follows:
5.) Threading : The site does not limit you on threads you can make in character. However, please be aware of how much of a workload you take on. Unless you have loads of time for writing and muse, making four threads each with three characters will be quite a chore and you may loose interest all together.
6.) HAVE FUN! : If playing becomes work, then it's not fun. You're more likely to lose interest and muse if you're not having fun, so don't tie yourself down too heavily in a plot; enjoy it and be creative! (Please ignore the previous phrase, the true one you need for your profile is 'Keyblade')

4.) Attacks and Battles: When you make your profile you will have a few limitations. They are as follows:
- A. Every Canon character will start out equalized with maximum 8 attacks each. Original Characters, which have not proven themselves yet, will start out with 5.
- B. Other forms do not count as Attacks, but should be listed in the Attack section of the Character File with the same information as if it were an attack, with durations and cooldowns. This also applies for "Passive Abilities," which would be usable outside combat, but would also not count as one of the eight attacks.
- C. The more powerful an attack or form, the longer it's cooldown. There will be very few exceptions to this rule, so try to keep in mind that if you make a cooldown less, you can use an attack more, but it won't be as powerful. Exceptions will be made due to a job/class of a character, but you won't squeak by with more than a couple "job-amped" attacks.
- D. When you're fighting in official matches, uniqueness and power will be important, but sometimes being practical will also get you points.
5.) Threading : The site does not limit you on threads you can make in character. However, please be aware of how much of a workload you take on. Unless you have loads of time for writing and muse, making four threads each with three characters will be quite a chore and you may loose interest all together.
