U-uh, Excuse me, kupo? What's your name, kupo?
“W-what?!” Aqua whirled around, already preparing a Triple Firaga to blast whatever enemy might have appeared, but upon realizing that the ‘enemy’ was only a Moogle, she took a deep breath and tried to calm herself. “S-Sorry…you startled me. The bluenette sighed. ”Right…you wanted my name? It’s Aqua, pleased to meet you.” She smiled warmly.
Is that what everyone calls you, kupo?
”Well…my formal title is Master Aqua, though I don’t particularly like being called that. I simply go by Aqua most of the time.”
That's a great name for a girl, kupo! You... are a girl, aren't you, kupo?
Aqua tilted her head incredulously at the Moogle. “Y-Yes…I’m a girl…” She glanced down at her clothes. “C…couldn’t you tell?
O-of course! I was just... messing around, kupo! Ahem. Anyway, kupo. Uh. How old are you, kupo?
She laughed nervously. “Oh yes, haha…” She grew silent after the next question. Honestly, she didn’t know how long she had spent in the Dark Realm, and if that had counted towards her age. She decided to play it safe and go with the age she was before she entered. “I’m…around nineteen.”
Really? Everyone lately seems to be strange, kupo... so... no offense...but what species are you, kupo?
“Species? I’m a human…I think…
I knew that... It's just this light in here, kupo... my eyes can't focus... what do you look like, kupo?
“U-um…I have blue hair and eyes…and…ugh, never mind.” Aqua sighed, taking a step into a ray of light nearby. “Is this alright?
I-interesting...Which world is your home, kupo?
“I’m not entirely certain where I was born, since my Master took me in when I was very young. But I was raised in the Land of Departure, so I suppose that would count as my homeworld. Aqua smiled as memories of her childhood home flooded back. “It was high up in the mountains and was basically isolated except for me, my Master, my friend Terra, and later on, my other friend Ventus.” The bluenette glanced away as she said their names, fiddling with a star-shaped trinket in her hands.
I see... That's an interesting looking weapon, kupo. What do you call it, kupo?
“Oh…do you mean…” She bit her lip, unsure of what to tell this Moogle. It was against her guidelines to inform too much about her weapon, but…it wouldn’t hurt just to tell it the basics….right? With a flash of light and a flutter of petals, a peculiarly shaped over-sized key appeared in her outstretched hand. “This is a Keyblade…mine is called Rainfell, and I guess you could say I’ve mastered its use. Though I’m far from knowing everything about it.
Cool! Do you know any attacks, kupo?
ABILITIES-
BARRIER.SURGEIn this attack, Aqua surrounds herself in a beehive-esque shield, then rushes forward a bit, sending the edges out and snapping them out in a way that harms her enemies. It’s only moderately powerful, but it’s useful when she’s trying to defend herself and her assailant is just not giving up.
cooldown; one post
MAGIC-
THUNDAGA.SHOTOne of her favorite spells to use. Already mastering Thundaga, she takes her own spin on the typical. She points her Keyblade at a target, blasting them with a condensed ball of electricity, while remnants fly outwards, injuring other foes nearby.
cooldown; three posts
GLACIERWith this powerful little specimen of magic, Aqua traps her enemies in a block of ice and, with a flash of light, she sends them flying. With impact, the ice shatters and deals even more damage.
cooldown; three posts
TRIPLE.FIRAGASimilar to Firaga in terms of using fire, instead of blasting an assailant with a fireball, she instead launches three at them, all in quick succession.
cooldown; three posts
CURAGAAqua lifts her Keyblade into the air, causing a large orange flower to appear and rain ethereal green light and petals, healing most of her injuries or her friends’. However, serious injuries may open again if one exerts themselves too much afterwards.
cooldown; three posts
COMMAND STYLES-
SPELLWEAVERAqua utilizes the power of light to levitate her Keyblade into the air, attacking her enemies from a distance with her movements alone controlling her weapon. Along with the use of telekinesis, her magical capabilities are enhanced as well. She is cloaked in a faint pinkish glow for the duration, and also moves a bit faster than normal. It ends with her holding her Keyblade high, releasing what appears to be an inverted tornado made of ribbons of light.
duration; two posts
cooldown; two posts
GHOST.DRIVEThis Command Style allows Aqua to flit around her opponents, leaving behind realistic after-images and moving at a blindingly high speed, causing it to be very tricky trying to land a hit on her. She is surrounded by a slightly green aura, though it is barely visible while she moves at her blinding pace. The finisher consists of Aqua quickly circling a certain area and triggering a massive explosion.
duration; two posts
cooldown; three posts
SHOTLOCK-
LIGHTBLOOMAqua twirls on the spot, starting out close to the ground, before straightening to full height and spinning at blinding speeds with one leg behind her head. While many would be entranced by this action in itself, she also bombards her enemies with volleys upon volleys of white light. It is a stunning technique in itself and is also exceedingly powerful.

That's not bad, kupo..! Can you tell me anything about your past, kupo?
“My…past? Aqua narrowed her eyes, adjusting her footing slightly. “Well…my Master, Eraqus, took me in when I was very young, probably around three or four. I don’t remember my real parents or even if they’re alive, but I don’t really need to. Master Eraqus was like a father to me. He already had another apprentice, and that was Terra.” Aqua smiled. “He was only a little older than me, so we very quickly became best friends. We were both training to become Keyblade Masters, and he and I used to playfight all the time. I remember once we argued about who would be Master Eraqus’s successor.” She rubbed the back of her head, suddenly taking on a somber expression at the memory. “But when I was about fourteen, this new apprentice named Ventus came to stay with us. He had lost his memory, and was sort of trance-like for a while. But later on, he warmed up to us and we started helping with his training. He really grew on me after that...he became like a little brother, in a sense.”
Aqua took a deep breath. “The night before our Mark of Mastery exam, I made Terra, Ven, and I matching good luck charms that were supposed to represent an unbreakable connection. She held up her Wayfinder with a slight smile, but after a moment, it faded. “I didn’t know it would become so important to me afterwards. You see, when Terra and I took our Exams, I passed, but Terra didn’t. At the time I didn’t care that I was a Master. I guess I was a bit irritated at the Master for being so blunt with him, and I was worried about Terra, as well. I think he was mad at me…and that made it even worse. I never wanted it to end up that way. He was older than me, taller than me, stronger than me…he was supposed to be better than me, too.”
“I wanted to talk it out with him, maybe comfort him as best as I could, but before I had the chance Master Eraqus sent him off to find Master Xehanort. And just after that, Ven ran off after him.” The bluenette rubbed her temples. The entire adventure through the worlds, she was stuck chasing them around and worrying about them. Never once had her best friends be pushed into second place. They were always her top priority, and still were. “Master Eraqus told me to bring Ven home and keep an eye on Terra, and I obeyed, naturally. But it was also my own choice, too."
“I didn’t have much time for pleasantries throughout the worlds that I visited; I helped the inhabitants all I could, and then I left to keep searching for Ven and Terra. It seemed…that every time I got a hold of them, I just let them go again. God, it was frustrating." Aqua clenched her fists tightly at her sides.
“And when I finally had all three of them together in Radiant Garden, I managed to say exactly the wrong words. Terra thought the Master told me to spy on him, which he didn’t, and if he had just listened to me…anyway, so he got upset about it and left, and naturally Ven followed him like a little puppy…ugh, why am I so bad at socializing…” Aqua shut her eyes, lifting a hand to her chest in an attempt to calm herself down.
“In that same world, I also met this masked boy named Vanitas. He attacked me, and I defeated him, but he summoned a dark portal and called me his ‘backup plan.’ Hmph. Cocky little nimrod…” The last sentence was muttered darkly, a disgusted tone to her voice. Honestly, she had fought that boy three times, and beat him every single time. He had nothing to brag about.
“Anyway, I found Mickey, who I had met while we rescued this little girl named Kairi, in the Lanes Between, and brought him to Yen Sid’s tower. But Yen Sid had some news for me…" Aqua adjusted her footing. “My Master had been struck down. He…he was like my father, and I had to know who had killed him. But Yen Sid told me that it had been Master Xehanort. And…Terra.” She was silent for a while, pain obvious in her eyes.
“I went to the Keyblade Graveyard to see if it was true. Terra confirmed it…but even then we didn’t completely reconcile. I wish we had…" She sighed, shaking her head a bit and moving on. "Ven showed up after that, and told us that Master Xehanort was trying to use him to create some all-powerful weapon called the X-blade, which could potentially destroy the worlds, if it fell into Xehanort's hands. And then, Ventus asked us to destroy him.” She paused, rubbing the back of her neck, eyes glued to her armored boots. “But how could I? I could never hurt Ven…not in a million years. Not if my life depended on it. I promised I would protect him, and I did all I could to do just that. But it wasn’t enough.”
“Xehanort and Vanitas arrived after that…though all three of us were no match for Xehanort. Somehow Terra was separated from me, and Xehanort froze Ven and dropped him off the ledge.” Aqua shuddered at the memory. “I caught him, but this strange man with an eyepatch appeared and challenged me to fight Terra. I refused, attacked him, and won. But he ran off, saying he was only a distraction. Then Vanitas surprise attacked me and knocked me out.” She frowned visibly. In the time that she had been unconscious, she knew Vanitas had merged with Ventus and fractured his heart beyond repair, and that the darkness had taken Terra. In that short amount of time, her two closest friends had been essentially destroyed.
Aqua clutched her Wayfinder like a lifeline, squeezing it tightly and feeling the edges dig into her skin. “When I woke up…Vanitas had possessed Ventus and wielded the X-blade. He tried to kill me yet again, but I managed to defeat him and the X-blade was destroyed. I ended up at the Mysterious Tower with Master Yen Sid, and he told me that Ven’s heart had been broken, and he would sleep until it mended. I took him home, so I could make sure he was safe, but our home was in ruins. I changed it into this white maze-like castle, and in a room that only I could find."
“I thought…maybe if I found Terra, we could both wake him up. I didn’t know…what had happened to him. When I discovered him in Radiant Garden, I could tell he wasn’t my best friend right off the bat. His hair was this sinister shade of silver, and his eyes were horribly yellow, like Xehanort’s. He didn’t know who I was at first, but then he told me that Terra’s heart had been destroyed. I couldn’t let the darkness have him. He had been by my side for as long as I could remember, and I knew he would do the same for me. So I let myself sink into darkness instead of him. Think of it like…atonement. I had failed him, I had failed the Master, and I had failed Ven." She laughed harshly, with an underlying tone of deep sorrow. “Some Master I am if I let the people I care about most just…slip through my fingers.”
Hmm... well, could you tell me what kind of person you are, kupo?
Aqua jerked out of her sad reverie to look quizzically at the Moogle. “What kind of person I am? What do you mean?
Not many people would believe that Aqua is a little older than a teenager. She is resourceful and responsible, very austere but able to have a laugh with close friends once in a while. However cold she may seem, she is also rather kind-hearted and is always a sucker for a sob-story, offering her shoulder to cry on but rarely taking one herself. A motherly streak runs through her, making its appearance whenever young children are around or she’s with Ven. She fawns over the younger boy, enjoying playing with his hair and fussing over his every little injury. That maternal behavior has lessened over the years, as she has accepted the fact that Ven has grown much more capable of taking care of himself. But still, one can see that fond gleam in her eyes whenever she’s around him, or the protective spark whenever a villain makes their appearance in the two’s presence.
Aqua holds her relationship with the Master and Terra in very high esteem, keeping her faith in Terra until the very end, and even past that. This blind belief that her friends will never resort to evil can be dangerous, such as her little run in with the possessed form of her closest comrade. She grew up with Terra, training by his side, and was raised by Master Eraqus serving as her sole parent. Though she was without a significant mother figure, she was able to take care of herself, steeling her emotions into a tough but smooth shell. This lack of tender, feminine love resulted in Aqua becoming rather bad at expressing her true feelings, causing some situations to take quite an awkward turn. Take her encounter with Zack, for an example. With no earthly clue how to react to such an outgoing request, or any experience with being flirted with, she was clearly quite flustered and frazzled by this sudden intrusion on her sheltered life.
Aqua is quite a sharp young woman, how ever humble she may be about it. She spent the majority of her child practically inhaling any books she could find, including spellbooks, nonfiction, and fiction. She studied incessantly and was always a stellar academic student for her Master, the teacher’s pet. Those habits have carried over into her usual way of functioning; she will make absolute sure she is as good as she can possibly be in anything before even implying that she has a certain skill. However sure of herself she may seem, Aqua has issues with her self-confidence and still doesn’t classify herself as a full Keyblade Master, though she earned the title in every way. Some may call it modesty, but Aqua truly believes that she is nothing special.
...Oh, kupo... Then... what side do you fight for, kupo?
“Well, Light, of course.” She smiled nervously, gently patting down the unruly spikes at the back of her head.
I don't mean to seem like I'm prying, but what dreams and aspirations do you have, kupo?
Aqua lifted a hand to her chin thoughtfully. “Well, I used to want to be a Keyblade Master, but…that’s been somewhat achieved. I suppose I want to find my friends…make sure they’re alright.”
Ah, that makes sense, kupo... sorta... well, what do you like, kupo?
“Hmm…I like reading. Especially in quiet and peaceful places, like a study. Working on my magic, too. And being with my friends, that’s a definite. And,” She blushed slightly, “Key lime pie. It’s a…guilty pleasure."
Me too! Then, what do you dislike, kupo?
Aqua grew quieter, only whispering this time. “Being alone.” She said, a melancholy note to her voice. The darkness was another; after all, it had ravaged her life, stolen away everything she cared about and more. She soundly disliked Vanitas, both for being a cocky little nimrod and also hurting Ventus. But the person who she flat-out abhorred with a fiery passion? Master Xehanort. The man who had ruined everything.
I'll remember that... what's your weakness, kupo?
“Weakness? Why would you need to know that?" Aqua protested, crossing her arms suspiciously. Though she would never admit it, Aqua isn’t as advanced in close-range combat as she is with magic, which is one of the reasons she knows so many techniques to get her farther away from an enemy (though she is more than capable to take someone down, seeing as she’s a Keyblade Master and all). Furthermore, she is incessantly protective. Harm any friend of hers, and she will relentless you hunt you to the ends of the earth, which can get her into trouble if she goes after someone much stronger than her. Also, due to her mainly energy-sapping magically-inclined fighting style, she is prone to tiring out very quickly. She has built up a resistance to spells and the like, but can be defeated by any heavy-hitting but swift opponent, one that can prevent her from escaping them and keep her locked in close, physical combat. Often times she gets careless whenever such happens, and lets her guard down. But those few seconds that she is vulnerable could be crucial.
N-not that I'd ever attempt to use that against you or anything, kupo...! Er... next question! W-what is your strength, kupo?
“Well, my friends, for one. I know that they need me, and that keeps me fighting, no matter what the circumstances.” She smiles fondly, looking down at the blue Wayfinder in her hand. “I have a few spells up my sleeve, if that counts.” Awkwardly, she rubbed her shoulder. ‘A few’ was a vast understatement. Aqua is known to be a very skilled mage, manipulating basic spells into her own unique attacks, and is also quite agile and flexible. Her prowess lies in such, typically distancing herself from enemies with quick flips and cartwheels before bombarding them with spells and magic-based attacks. Even in close combat, she dislikes just using the Keyblade alone, often backing up her weapon with different effects, like Poison or cloaking it in electricity.
I never would have guessed, kupo! So, tell me, kupo.. What's the secret password, kupo?
Keyblade (e.e i'm simple)
Ah, well I am afraid I must go, kupo. One last question before I do, kupo. How did you find your way here, kupo?
Google. Yeah.

Google. Yeah.
