Welcome to the Missions area. This is basically like the giant bulletin board that every person in the universe can use to post up requested missions that they need done and offer up the pay for doing them well. It will be run by staff to keep it orderly and you must accept a mission and wait in the mission cue before you begin the actual mission. The staff taking missions can sometimes get very busy so it's important to remember these simple rules when applying for missions.
1.) It will take a while. Missions sometimes take more than a month to complete, depending on the mission and how many people are involved. If you are coming up on an important date that you will be gone for a week or more, make a note of it in your mission so we will know not to begin the mission before that date; also keep in mind that other people's missions will take time as well.
2.) Inactivity: If a mission is not responded to by the player within 3 days, the mission will return to the cue to await reactivation by request. If another mission is begun, your mission will wait in the cue until there is another mission completed, and room for more activity. If you do not renew the mission by request in the requests board, the mission will wait for one month and then will be reset and any work on the mission will be lost.
3.) Rankings and Requirements: Be sure to check a mission's requirements and rankings thoroughly before applying for it. An S rank mission will require much more than a B rank or C rank mission; also keep in mind what your character is capable of when applying for a mission. A field healing mission wouldn't require a warrior; just as a lumberjack style mission wouldn't be suited to a mage.
With that, I'm going to explain basic kinds of missions.
Special Occasions: Sometimes there will be missions due to things going on in the worlds; Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day and even just the times of year. These missions will only be available for a small amount of time and sometimes only to a set amount of teams. They will be taking precedence over other missions at that time for those reasons, meaning because it's only a limited time, regular missions will be put on the back burner in staff so that everyone gets the opportunity to do a fun event.
Tournament Style Missions: These missions will have rankings as well and will be played much like the tournaments from the Colosseum in Kingdom Hearts. Rather than fighting other players, usually these types of tournaments will be played against monsters of specific levels, suitable to the style and rank of the tournament. The prizes of these tournaments will be very nice; but be sure to check any rules as each ranking will have different requirements as far as what/if items are allowed etc.
Timed Missions: These missions will give you a specific set number of posts you can use and a few leads to what you need to do to accomplish the mission. You may have a word limit, depending on the ranking, or you may have a word minimum, again, depending on the ranking and the mission.
Tracking Missions: In this kind of mission you will have to read the starting post very carefully and respond to the clues that are given to you, following the clues you think best to find the person/object you've been requested to find. Vagueness of the clues will increase with higher rankings.
Clear Out Missions: Missions of this sort will require you to defeat so many of a certain type of creature to make it safer for locals. Obviously these will become stronger and possibly more numerous the higher the rankings.
Recon Missions: Similar to the missions of KH Days; a study of an area or enemy to gain more knowledge. The results of these missions will be posted as plot progression and the character(s) responsible will be publicly acknowledged as well as be rewarded for helping uncover information.
So those are the basic kinds of missions that we'll have up and running soon! Can't wait to see what you guys get started with!
