U-uh, Excuse me, kupo? What's your name, kupo?
"Oh!" The Princess exclaimed, smiling brightly at the Moogle. The creature's sudden appearance startled her, but she was pleased to meet the Moogle, and giggled softly behind her right hand. "Why hello there," she began, both hands at her sides now. "My name's Kairi!" She nodded. "Nice to meet you."
Is that what everyone calls you, kupo?
"Well," she paused, pondering the question as she had never truly thought of it before now. "Riku calls me lazy, sometimes!" She laughed, amused by perhaps one memory in particular, or even a collection. "But Sora's the lazy bum, if you want my opinion. I've also been called Princess," she continued, a light pink color rising in her cheeks. "B-but that doesn't mean you have to call me that!" Oceanic eyes widened as the implication caught up with her, and she shook her head. "I mean, it's a very silly name to use -- for me at least! I'm not a Princess," she said, giggling sheepishly now as her fingers idly played with the pocket-zippers on her dress. "At least, not like Princess Jasmine, or Princess Cinderella! I'm just myself..." She shrugged. "I'm Kairi."
That's a great name for a girl, kupo! You... are a girl, aren't you, kupo?
"I'm definitely a girl!" Kairi laughed, subconsciously flipping her hair over one shoulder. "Wait until I tell Sora someone had to ask if I was a boy!"
O-of course! I was just... messing around, kupo! Ahem. Anyway, kupo. Uh. How old are you, kupo?
She giggled again, amused by the little creature. It was cute, she believed, as were its questions. "It's alright! And I'm 16; Sora and I are the same age, but Riku's a year older."
Really? Everyone lately seems to be strange, kupo... so... no offense...but what species are you, kupo?
"Hm..." Yet another question Kairi had never truly heard before. "I'm human," she began, clasping her hands behind her back. "...Some people may call me a 'Somebody', but there's not much of a difference." She frowned slightly, remembering the ongoing debate in regards to Nobodies and Somebodies and such silly terms.
I knew that... It's just this light in here, kupo... my eyes can't focus... what do you look like, kupo?
I-interesting...Which world is your home, kupo?
"Well," she began, looking out into the distance as the ghost of a smile pulled at the corners of her lips. "I'm really from a world called Radiant Garden." Her right hand moved up to grasp the charm on her necklace. "But...another world, one called Destiny Islands," she said, eyes brightening at the thought of the play island and all the childhood games played there. "That's my home." There was a short pause, then the Princess continued. "I grew up there with my two best friends, and the other kids we used to play with. And after our first journey, that was the world I went back to." She smiled, glancing back down at the Moogle.
I see... That's an interesting looking weapon, kupo. What do you call it, kupo?
"Oh, this?" Kairi asked, grinning as she held out her right hand and summoned Destiny's Embrace which appeared with a bright flash of light. "It's called a Keyblade. Well, my Keyblade is actually called Destiny's Embrace," she said, giggling softly. "It reminds me of the islands back home," she added as an afterthought, eyeing the breaking ocean wave on the Keyblade's hilt. "And whenever I hit something, it makes the same flash of light you saw when it first appeared."
Cool! Do you know any attacks, kupo?
As a Princess of Heart:[/u]
As a Keyblader:
That's not bad, kupo..! Can you tell me anything about your past, kupo?
"My past?" Kairi laughed, a soft sound that echoed her personal amusement. "Hm," she said, sending her Keyblade back from whence it came as she slowly sank down to the ground next to the Moogle, sitting with her legs folded beneath her. "You'd be surprised, how many times I've heard that question," she continued, her right hand reaching up to tuck a lock of red hair behind her ear. "Or...maybe you wouldn't," she said, shrugging her shoulders. "But where to begin?" Kairi sat in silence for the next few moments, looking out into the distance again as she gathered her thoughts. Finally, she turned back to the Moogle and nodded, ready to begin her story.
"My grandmother used to tell me a story about the worlds, and the Darkness that lives in people's hearts. She also told me about the Light, the true Light, that will guide me even in the deepest Darkness." Kairi nodded, folding her hands in her lap. "And...that's all I remember from my time on Radiant Garden," she paused, pink rising in her cheeks once more. "It's not much, I know. But...whenever I'm scared, I remember her story, and I know that everything will work out in the end." She smiled. "Or, I think of Sora and Riku.
"Sora and Riku were the two boys who found me on the beach on Destiny Islands. As I said, I don't remember exactly what happened to Radiant Garden, or why I ended up on the Islands -- I only know that a great Darkness covered Radiant Garden, and the next moment I was...somewhere else." Her smile softened, and she blinked, glancing away from the Moogle. "It wasn't so bad, not at all," she said, expression brightening as if nothing had changed. "I was adopted by the Mayor of Destiny Islands, and Sora and Riku became my best friends. They'd always ask me about my past too," she added, giggling again. "Years after my appearence, we decided to build a raft and set sail, y'know, to see what else was out there." She looked back at the Moogle, eyes glittering. "We would go together, just the three of us...
"But then the storm came. The Darkness. At first I thought it was just like any other storm, but then the closer it came, the worse I felt...like I was getting sick, but nothing like a fever." The Princess shrugged, internally reminding herself that the time had come and gone, and if it weren't for the storm that night, so many things wouldn't have happened -- so many people would still need saving, and so many questions would still lack answers. "Maybe that's when my heart left," she said, mulling over the possibilities. "I'm...special," she told the Moogle, smiling apologetically as she wasn't quite ready to go about telling everyone she met that she was a Princess of Heart, one of seven needed to open Kingdom Hearts. "So when the Darkness swallowed our home, my heart found sanctuary from the Darkness inside Sora's." She nodded, a faint blush rising to her cheeks.
"Since my heart was inside his, I remember bits and pieces from Sora's journey." Kairi giggled, remembering the times Sora had found himself in a silly situation, such as running up and down the walls in Wonderland, and the first time he met Donald and Goofy. "I remember people, and even some of the places! The more time he spent looking for me and Riku, the more I seemed to remember about my own past; my grandmother, for example! It wasn't until Sora's journey that I remembered who she was, and her story." She sighed, and looked down at her folded hands. "I...also remember Sora and Riku fighting each other," she said, frowning at the pang in her heart that came from the memories of best friends going head to head and actually attacking one another. "But...Riku wasn't himself then, or perhaps he was; an evil man named Ansem, Seeker of Darkness had taken over, or was doing his best to control him. He fought it, however; Ansem somehow knew that my heart was inside Sora's, and because he needed my heart to --" Open the door to Kingdom Hearts "-- do something, he wanted Sora to free his heart, releasing mine in the process. And he did, which turned him into a Heartless. Before Ansem could get a hold of my heart, however, Riku appeared, and held him off so I could run.
"As much as I didn't want to leave my best friends, I knew I couldn't do much on my own. So I ran, and eventually turned Sora back to the way he was before, a lazy bum!" She giggled, adding that bit to hopefully lighten the story's darkening tone. "Sora and Riku fought Ansem and won, but something happened to Riku and he had to stay behind. Sora was with me when the worlds separated again, returning to their previous states. He promised to come back to me...
"And a year later, I went looking for both of them." She nodded, pursing her lips as if almost expecting the Moogle to object with her reasoning. "A girl named Naminé has special powers over memories," she continued, not quite sure what the exact details were in regards to Naminé's control. "And for a while, I couldn't remember anything about Sora, except the fact that there was another little boy who always used to play with me and Riku on the islands. But as soon as I remembered everything, I went looking for them. A man named Axel came looking for me too, and when I ran through one of the Corridors of Darkness I met Hayner, Pence, and Olette in a place called Twilight Town. Eventually, Axel found me and kidnapped me from my new friends. Then, another man, Saïx, took me from him." She sighed, rolling her eyes semi-playfully at having to recount the chain of kidnappings. It was slightly embarrassing, after all! "He said I was the fuel to Sora's anger, or something of the sort, which basically meant that I was the reason Sora was going to be in danger, if he wasn't in enough already. That...to be the reason Sora was in danger, or could get hurt...I didn't know what to do.
Naminé helped me escape. She told me to believe in myself, and I knew from then on I could always trust her." Kairi nodded. "Saïx tried to stop us, but he was chased away by someone in a black Organization cloak. I could hardly believe it was Riku!" She exclaimed, smiling at the thought of Riku having been the one helping her the entire time. "And it was, but he looked different...He looked like Ansem. It wasn't until later I learned that he chose to look like that because he was afraid of what Sora and I would think, and he was ashamed of the things he'd done. Later, after we found Sora and Riku had given me my Keyblade, we met King Mickey, the real Ansem, and Xemnas, leader of the Organization. Ansem's machine backfired -- exploded, really, though I'm not sure -- and somehow, Riku looked like himself again. Eventually, Sora and I were reunited with Roxas and Naminé, and Sora and Riku went off to fight Xemnas.
"As he promised, Sora made it back to the islands, and so did Riku!" She smiled, still not finished with her story.
[SPOILERS AHEAD!]
"King Mickey sent a letter not long after we'd all returned to the islands. Sora and Riku were summoned to take the Keyblade Mastery exam -- I wasn't, but I know I'm not even close to being ready to take any sort of exam. Not compared to those two, after all they've done!" She sighed, still smiling, though it was softer and smaller than previously. "Sora...ran into some trouble. He fell to the Darkness, but Riku saved him. Or, Master Riku." She giggled softly behind one hand. "Sora didn't pass his exam, but he didn't seem sad. As for me? Riku's first task as a Keyblade Master was to bring me to Yen Sid's tower! Master Xehanort's plot requires seven hearts of Light to fight against the thirteen hearts of Darkness -- or, seven hearts of Light to protect the seven Princesses of Heart. So, I'm going to be trained how to use my Keyblade, so I can protect myself and my fellow Princesses as well as fight alongside my friends. I won't sit back this time and be a damsel in distress!"

Hmm... well, could you tell me what kind of person you are, kupo?
"I'm not nearly as bold as I used to be when I was younger, that's for sure." Kairi smiled, remembering times when she would say the first thing on her mind without taking the situation as a whole into consideration. "And I believe friendship is incredibly important. I'd do anything to help my friends, and as much as I wish I could keep them out of trouble, Sora and Riku can be just as stubborn as me sometimes! I've come to realize that there are some things I can't do by myself, but I also know I can count on my friends for anything. I...like being there for them, whether it's to listen or to take action.
"However, I don't always think things through. I'm...loyal to a fault, I guess?" She giggled sheepishly, and tucked another lock of hair behind her ear. "And I worry quite a bit.Especially about Sora. Sometimes I jump to conclusions, but it's always with the best intentions. At least, in my opinion it is!"
...Oh, kupo... Then... what side do you fight for, kupo?[/color][/b]
"I still believe in the Light," she said, laughing. "I mean, it would be very silly if I didn't." She glanced away from the Moogle, eyes glittering again as if she were the only one who truly knew why lacking faith in the Light would be so ironic.
I don't mean to seem like I'm prying, but what dreams and aspirations do you have, kupo?
"Oh, no! You aren't prying, silly!" Kairi smiled, and slightly narrowed her eyes in contemplation. "Dreams and aspirations?" Her voice was soft, as she was taking all possible routes into consideration. It was an interesting question, yet another thing to think about which she never truly had done before. "Hm...Well, I dream of --" she began, and turned her gaze onto the distance. "-- happiness. I want to go back home with my friends more than anything, and everyone is safe and not living in fear of the Darkness."
Ah, that makes sense, kupo... sorta... well, what do you like, kupo?
"I like watching the sun rise and set," she said, grinning. "And spending time with my friends! Learning new things and meeting new people is always fun, and seeing new places."
Me too! Then, what do you dislike, kupo?
Kairi wrinkled her nose at the question. "I don't like people who are mean to others. People who abuse their powers instead of using them to help others, that's not very nice either. Oh...I also don't like being kidnapped!"
I'll remember that... what's your weakness, kupo?
Kairi's oceanic eyes widened. This certainly wasn't a normal question! "My friends or anyone being in danger...especially if it's because of me, and...especially if Sora's in danger." She shrugged, sheepishly glancing down at her hands, still folded in her lap. "He...means everything to me."
N-not that I'd ever attempt to use that against you or anything, kupo...! Er... next question! W-what is your strength, kupo?
"The Light in my heart," she replied without missing a beat. She unfolded her hands and placed her right one over her heart, smiling. "Even in the deepest darkness, it'll always be there to guide me," she said, almost as if reciting from a story told hundreds of times before. "And my friends, because I know that no matter what, they'll always be there for me, just like I'll always be there for them."
Ah... well I am afraid I must go, kupo. One last question before I do, kupo. How did you find your way here, kupo?
I was kidnapped. "I'm actually one of the administrators!"

As a Princess of Heart:[/u]
- Final Keyhole: Only applicable when all other princesses are gathered, together they have the power to open the Final Keyhole to Kingdom Hearts. Passive ability, rarely used and most likely requires admin permission.
- Darkness Resistance: A natural ability to keep the surrounding Darkness at bay for short periods of time. The more princesses gathered, the stronger the effects. This also grants Kairi the passive ability to remain unaffected by the Darkness while traversing via Corridors of Darkness, and negates her ability to create a Heartless should she ever fall to Darkness.
- Darkness Sensitivity: Again, a natural ability granted by her status as a Princess of Heart; she can sense a nearby Darkness. The closer the Darkness, the higher the sensitivity. Also, the greater the Darkness, the greater toll it takes on Kairi's health, as in KHI she became ill right before Destiny Islands fell to the Darkness.
As a Keyblader:
- Cura: Heals a moderate amount of health to the user and allies close by. Cooldown: Two posts.
- Thundara: Generally used as a sort of crowd-control, this spell brings bolts of lightning down from the sky onto opponents. Cooldown: Two posts.
- Fira: Rings of fire form a sort of shield around Kairi, inflicting damage on enemies unfortunate enough to get in the way. Cooldown: Two posts.
- Blizzara: Launches orbs of ice from the tip of her Keyblade at opponents. Cooldown: Two posts.
That's not bad, kupo..! Can you tell me anything about your past, kupo?
